The sun rising today
Are the clouds to blame or is it me
Blinded by your get away
I have tried but some tears won’t dry

Time is the healer but takes too long
For someone awaiting relief
Memories fade like old blue jeans
Washed by all the miles they’ve seen
And I am running on empty
I can see no in between
Sweat on my brow no fertile fields to plow
